About this Event
Through the years, an Ojibwe grandmother and her granddaughter share the cultural tradition of sewing ribbon skirts to honor previous generations and celebrate women. Celebrate the power of Indigenous craft and community with Marcie Rendon at Red Balloon Bookshop! Join Marcie for a read-aloud from the book and put your own creative talents to the test with a ribbon craft activity.
To attend: This event is open to the public, but registration helps us when considering spatial constraints. You can register for a ticket for free through January 23, 4:00pm, and order the book . Additional copies of Stitches of Tradition will be available for purchase during the event, but ordering ahead guarantees your copy.
Signing Guidelines: Following the event, Marcie Rendon will sign and personalize copies of her books. If you would prefer not to stay for the signing portion, Red Balloon can have your books signed and personalized for you and will contact you when they're ready to be picked up.
