March Volunteer Meet-up

Come join Rainbow History’s Volunteer working groups on Sunday, March 23rd from 2-4pm at the West End Neighborhood Libary (Meeting Room 2)

If you're a current volunteer or looking to volunteer this is a great opportunity to meet fellow volunteers & board members and get involved!

RHP’s volunteers gather to share LGBTQ history, exchange status updates, and invite new volunteers to join a project. Our ongoing project teams include:

• Social Geography: Places & Spaces, Timelines, and Walking Tours (Ongoing)
• Archiving & Oral history (Ongoing)
• Events, Comms, and Fundraising (Ongoing)

In 2024-2025, we are mobilizing our work around two large initiatives:

• RHP's WorldPride 2025 Exhibit: "Pickets, Protests, and Parties: The History of Gay Pride in Washington" (May-June 2025)
• Creating DC's first LGBTQ+ curriculums for DC students. (Through September 2025)

Meeting Agenda:

• Arrival social/intros (15 min)
• Volunteers and team leads present on their projects and needs (45 min)
• Break & chat (10 min)
• Updates on Initiatives and how to help (30 min)
• Next steps (10 min)
