The March meeting of the Winnipeg Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. Our featured speaker is Dr. Vesna Milosevic-Zdjelar, astronomy instructor and former staff presenter at the Manitoba Museum's Planetarium. Vesna will share her unique approach to using popular concepts to lure people into a wider understanding of the cosmos and their place within it. We'll also have a special guest presenter from the Kingston Centre, Kim Hay, present our Beginner's Session.Plus, this is the Centre's Annual General Meeting, where we hold elections for Council and make any necessary amendments to our Bylaws. Since so much time was spent in previous years, this year's AGM is fairly simple: the only bylaw amendment is to add the re-designed Observatory Committee to the Bylaws and the elect the new Council.
Full agenda to follow.
