Join us for ABQ Artwalk in March for Uprooted: An emerging artist exhibition featuring the work of Angel Bee.

"Early American colonialism profoundly impacted art, particularly landscapes, shaping how they were perceived, represented, and valued. Emphasizing the beauty, abundance, and potential of newly claimed territories, these depictions served as propaganda, romanticizing the land as a pristine paradise ripe for cultivation.
I strive to break these colonial views through my camera lens by capturing landscapes with unfiltered truth and genuine realism, keeping a true-to-life essence. Playing with light, shadow, and framing, my photographs show human debris, intervention, and the impact we have had and continue to have on the environment today"
