March 2027 Wenatchee Valley DRC Professional Mediation Training

The Wenatchee Valley Dispute Resolution Center (WVDRC) is offering a Resolution Washington and Washington Mediation Association-approved Professional Mediation Training course in March 2027.

The WVDRC offers this comprehensive conflict resolution course for anyone who:

• Is interested in becoming a certified volunteer mediator with the WVDRC.

• Wants to learn more effective ways to deal with conflict at work, at home, or in the classroom.

• Is in the legal, counseling, human resources, or education field and needs relevant professional training.

The Professional Mediation Training course teaches the in-depth process of mediation, communication skills, and conflict dynamics to promote peaceful and constructive approaches to conflict and its resolution, whether in the workplace, home, or in our community.

Trainees who have completed the Professional Mediation Training course are eligible to begin a mediation practicum to become a certified volunteer mediator with the WVDRC.

Our Professional Mediation Training is an interactive learning experience offered over the course of 5 days in March. All training materials are provided.

Registration Fees*:

$550 for residents of Chelan, Douglas, or Okanogan Counties

$650 for NON Chelan, Douglas, or Okanogan County residents

$650 for Attorneys seeking CLE credits

*Plus, applicable sales tax

Discounts available:

• Groups of 3 or more persons from the same organization
• Nonprofit staff or volunteers
• Individuals below 300% Federal Poverty Level

Mediation Training Refund Policy

Because enrollment is limited and significant preparation occurs before the training, cancellation requests must be received at least 14 calendar days before the first day of training.

· Cancellations received 14 or more calendar days before the first day of training will receive a full refund, less any non-refundable payment processing fees.

· Cancellations received fewer than 14 calendar days before the first day of training are not eligible for a refund.

· With prior written notice to WVDRC, registrations may be transferred to another participant at no charge.

· If a participant is unable to attend, WVDRC may, at its discretion, allow the registration fee to be transferred to a future WVDRC mediation training within one year of the original training date.

· WVDRC reserves the right to make exceptions in cases of medical emergency or other extraordinary circumstances.

· If WVDRC cancels the training, participants will receive a full refund.
