This will be our 4th event at Minnie's FP. This is a fun opportunity and we typically go to lunch afterward.
If you just want to check in and meet for lunch, you're welcome to do so.
If you can make Friday 3/21 an early evening and show up to Volunteer with us at 7:45am on Saturday the 22nd for check-in that would be awesome. The Activities start at 8AM
The staff at Minnie's are very accommodating, they play music as we work indoors sorting food/packing boxes and bags for donations at the drive-up line out front. You choose where to help out.
Task Opportunities and Schedule (what to expect):
7:45AM Volunteer registration / orientation / task assignment
8 AM-12:00PM - Volunteering Activity
Volunteer opportunities and tasks include:
Outdoors on the car line: placing food items in clients' vehicles
Indoors preparing cold bags
Indoors unloading / stocking / sorting preparing boxes
Indoors assisting at Minnie's Boutique
Outdoors stocking pallets of boxes to storage, rearranging area
11:45-12 Noon Volunteer experience wrap-up
Frequently asked questions:
What should I wear?
Volunteers should wear close-toed shoes and appropriate clothing such as jeans, shorts and t-shirts. No sandals/flip-flops, extremely short skirts/shorts or low-cut shirts. Individuals wearing opened toed shoes and inappropriate clothing will not be allowed to volunteer.
Where to park?
Please park in front of Suite 671; Minnie's Empowerment Center.
