Looking Back to Look Forward: 5th Anniversary of the Lockdown and QWFF’s Historic Online Pivot

Join us on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 7 PM at The Local LIC for a special evening of remembrance and reflection. Hosted by Queens World Film Festival (QWFF) and the Queens Memory Project, this event marks five years since the lockdown and QWFF's groundbreaking pivot to become the first film festival to stream online during the pandemic.

The evening will feature:

• Highlights from the Queens Memory Project, including stories of survival and hope.
• An interactive mapping installation to share your lockdown memories.
• Short films from Queens World alumni and community members reflecting on the pandemic’s early days.
• Food by MetroHealth and Happy Hour courtesy of The Local LIC.
