THIS EVENT IS FOR INFORMATION ABOUT GETTING A TINTYPE. The 160th Anniversary of the Battle of Bentonville Reenactment will take place in Bentonville, NC on March 14-15-16, 2025.
The battle of Bentonville was the largest battle fought in North Carolina and was one of the last major engagements of the Civil War. More than 1,000 re-enactors and 30,000 spectators are expected to attend the event, which includes two battles, military and civilian encampments and special educational programs during the weekend.

Reenactors have been asking me if I am going, so I think I'm going to be pretty busy. To avoid disappointment please reserve a slot in advance online. If your plans end up changing, you can notify me and request a refund up to 24 hours beforehand. Not a problem - just let me know by text (843) 709-5347. If something comes up the actual day of your session, please come find me or send someone to make sure I know (sometimes I don't check my phone for hours). No refunds for no-shows.
Not sure yet where I will be set up, but I have a canvas sign with the word "PICTURES" painted in sloppy black letters, and you'll see my big wooden camera on a tripod.
I'll be making tintypes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Quarter-Plate size – (4.25 x 3.25 inches) – $75
Half-Plate size – (5.5 x 4.25 inches) – $90
Whole Plate size – (8.5 x 6.5 inches) – $120
IMPORTANT: There is ONLY ONE ORIGINAL TINTYPE made per session.
If you need more than one tintype, please book an additional session for each picture made.
Printed paper copies of scanned tintypes may be ordered for an extra cost at the time of your appointment, or at any time thereafter.

You do not HAVE to frame your tintype - They are varnished. I do have some reproduction 1/4 plate frames in stock, but I am all out of 1/2 plate frames currently.
NOTE:YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A REENACTOR TO GET A TINTYPE MADE.
I make tintypes for anyone. I do NOT provide clothing. If you bring something special to wear for your picture, I have a small A-frame tent you can use to change clothes, or there are a couple of larger porta-potties. BE DRESSED AND READY BEFORE YOUR SCHEDULED TIME.
