Marcel P. Black is a Baton Rouge-based emcee known for his socially conscious lyrics and deep connection to Southern hip-hop culture. Originally from Oklahoma, he moved to Baton Rouge to attend Southern University, and has since become a prominent voice in the community, using his music to address themes of social justice, community empowerment, and the Black American experience. Blending elements of gospel, brass, and trap, Marcel P. Black’s work is both a tribute to Southern musical traditions and a call for societal change.
