With his new quartet, Marc Jufer gathers three exceptional musicians to shape a sonic landscape that is vibrant, ever-shifting, and free.
They are on the road for the release of their new album.
This record is an invitation to listen deeply — beyond the surface of sound. Another Part Of The World isn’t just a musical journey, it’s a sensory experience: a passage through textures and forms, where each gesture resonates with organic precision.
Marc Jufer delivers a record where finely-honed compositions form the spine of a collective, living, and unrestrained improvisation.
Alongside the Swiss saxophonist are three remarkable musicians: Josephine Nagorsnik (trombone), Christian Weber (bass), and Clément Grin (drums) (Devin Gray on the recording). Together, they weave a dense, ever-moving fabric — where sparks, silences, friction, joyful outbursts, slow tension, and sudden surges all meet. This quartet doesn’t just play together — it listens, it builds, it responds in real time.
Each piece is its own ecosystem: a recurring, obsessive motif that fades and returns in Where is Morpheus; a slow, restrained evolution in Blue Shadow, a passage from strangeness to euphoria in Let’s See — all signs of a rare balance between form and freedom.
Nothing is fixed — and yet everything is grounded.
