De uit Carencro, Louisiana afkomstige zanger en liedjesschrijver Marc Broussard staat bekend om zijn Bayou soul! Deze muziek is een aanstekelijk mix van soul, blues, rock en r&b die zowel nu, als veertig jaar geleden had kunnen uitkomen. Op zijn Carencro 20th Anniversary Tour 2024 speelt hij zijn complete debuutalbum en favorieten uit zijn SOS serie!
Marc groeide op in de Lafayette muziekscene met Louisiana Hall of Fame gitarsist Ted Broussard (The Boogie Kings) als vader. Na een eerste zelf uitgebrachte EP kwam hij in 2004 met zijn debuutalbum Carencro waarop ook de hit Home stond, die hem direct nationaal succes opleverde. Na meerdere succesvolle albums op grote labels, besluit hij voortaan muziek uit te brengen via zijn SOS Foundation (Save our Soul) waarmee hij verschillende goede doelen ondersteund!
