What is AIESEC?

AIESEC is the largest global youth network impacting the world through leadership development experiences. For over 70 years, it has facilitated youth leadership activities, international internships, and volunteer experiences developing a global learning environment across 126 countries and territories.

Join the Global Goals Run: At the heart of our Global Goals Run lies a commitment to creating a sustainable, equitable, and healthier future. Focusing on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2, 3, and 13, we aim to bring together communities to run for themselves and a purpose that resonates globally.

Global Goals Run is a premier event and an initiative by AIESEC in Ahmedabad to spread awareness about the UN Sustainable Development Goals through a run for a cause. This event brings the city together to run and support the cause that will impact the world around us.

The primary purpose of this marathon is to raise awareness of the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals. They will not only advocate for the concept but also strive to put it into practice. E-waste will be collected throughout the event, and accumulated waste will be recycled afterward 

Why Participate?

To achieve the vision of engaging and developing every person, we must recognize that simply repeating the same activities is insufficient. It calls for innovative strategies to accelerate growth and improve impact. One such approach is organizing dynamic and meaningful events that align with this vision, such as a community-focused run designed to inspire youth leadership and promote holistic well-being.

The Event: A Fun and Impactful Run

This exciting event will bring together over 1,500+ energetic participants who will choose to run distances of 3 km, 5 km, or 10 km. The core idea of this initiative is to create a fun, enjoyable, and memorable experience that goes beyond a typical fitness event. It is designed to unite people of all ages and backgrounds around a meaningful cause.

Mission

Promoting Physical Fitness and Good Health:

The event underscores the importance of regular exercise and a healthy lifestyle. Running is one of the simplest and most effective forms of exercise, and by making it a social event, we encourage individuals to take their first step toward fitness or maintain an active lifestyle.

Creating Awareness of Youth Leadership:

The run serves as a platform to showcase the potential of young leaders who can inspire positive change in their communities. Through this event, participants and spectators alike will witness the energy and determination of young people, highlighting their role in shaping a better future.

Event Details:

• Date: 5th January 2025
•  Event Venue: YMCA Club 
• Category: 10km 5km 3 km Fun Run
• Early bird Registration Fees:  Rs.199 onwards (till 10th December 2025)
• Reporting Time 4:30 am 

Marathon Description:-

· 3 km - Fun Marathon: Rs.199/-

· 5 km - Fun Marathon: Rs.349/-

· 10 km - Timed Run: Rs. 499/-

·    Participants must show the Email OR SMS with their BIB number. Alternatively please show registration information via SMS/email while collecting the BIB.

·    At the time of bib collection participants are requested to carry original ID proof (ID Proof which has a Photo and Date of Birth)

·    No race category changes will be allowed.

·    No t-shirt exchange will be allowed.

·    Participants will not be allowed on the Race Day without BIB.

·    If unavailable for the BIB Collection? Assign someone an authorization letter signed by the registered runner.

·    He/She must carry a soft copy of the Registration Confirmation [With BIB Details] email / SMS.

·    Soft Copy of their ID Proof.

 Runner Amenities

·    Official Race T-Shirt 

·    Goodie Bag 

·    An official race BIB (RFID Tagged) for a 10KM Run and BIB (without RFID Tagged) for a 5KM Run

·    Water energy drinks and refreshments along the course. 

·    Medical Support. Post-race refreshments and Finisher’s medal

·    Timing SMS & Timing Certificate (Soft Copy) for all the runner

Rules & Regulations

1. Participants must register on or before the closing date of the registration no new entry will be accepted post 5th January 2025.

2. Please save the confirmation email received after registration as a reference for future communications.

3. Runners found to have interchanged their running number BIB with another individual will be disqualified from the event and shall not be allowed to apply or participate in the subsequent edition of the event.

5. No vehicles are allowed on the course. Anyone bringing wheeled vehicles will be disqualified from the race; you will be asked to leave the course. 

6. Only those confirmed participants wearing the running number BIBs will be allowed on the route. Any person found wearing the incorrect BIB or no BIB will be disqualified and removed by the course security.

7. Further every runner must wear his/her running number BIB on the front of the vest. Any mutilation fold alteration or damage to the BIB will amount to disqualification of the runner from the event.

8. Organizers reserve the right to stop any participant from participating who is found medically unfit to continue in the opinion of the medical personnel.

9. Baggage counters are available for all participants. It is strongly recommended that you do not leave valuables like mobile phone camera jewellery, watch, electronic gadgets etc. in the bag stored. Organizers are not responsible for any loss of baggage and/or its belongings

10. Participants are requested to cooperate with the police and security personnel deputed at the event venue and on the route. Participants/supporters are liable to random checking on race day – this is for your security.

11. Entry Cancellation: Requests for cancellation & transfer will not be accepted and thereby a refund will not be entertained.

12. The right to participate in the event and the rights and benefits available to the a1pplicant under this application form is at the sole discretion of the Event Organizing team and cannot be transferred to any other person under any circumstances and the applicant alone shall be entitled to the rights and benefits arising hereunder.

13. The rules listed are subject to change at the discretion of the Event Heads and the Organizing Committee. 

Note: Any age group can participate in the marathon. Criteria to be matched for the 3 km–4 years and above 5 km–8 years and 10 km–12 years and above.
