Nau mai, haere mai! Join us for an introduction to the Maramataka, the Māori lunar calendar and a way of understanding the natural world through the rhythms and cycles of the moon.

Explore how the Maramataka has traditionally been used to observe the environment, guide activities and understand the changing seasons. Learn about the different phases of the moon and discover how mātauranga Māori connects people, whenua and the natural world.

This relaxed and welcoming workshop is an opportunity to learn, ask questions and connect with others while gaining a deeper appreciation of the Maramataka.
