This January, Lucia Horan and Leah Song of Rising Appalachia bring a weekend of dance, mindfulness and ritual song to Atlanta. In times of turmoil and change, somatic meditation can help us move out of resistance and into ecstasy. Through Gabrielle Roth's 5Rhythms practice, mindfulness and the communal power of voice, we build skills that support balance, ease and joy.
Each session weaves embodied 5Rhythms practice, talks on the philosophy behind the work, sharing and song. There is a science to reaching ecstatic states, and this weekend teaches you how to enter them in a natural way. All bodies, all levels of experience and everyone who is curious are welcome. You do not need to be a dancer or a singer.

REFUND POLICY
Full refund until December 15, 2026, minus processing fees. 50% refund until January 1, 2027. After that, no refunds, but tickets are transferable to another person. Email [email protected] to transfer.
YOUR GUIDES
Lucia Horan was born and raised in the Esalen community and has been teaching since 1998. She trained directly with Gabrielle Roth in the 5Rhythms method and is formally empowered to teach Buddhist mindfulness. A certified Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness teacher, she has taught at Esalen, Omega, Kripalu and around the world.
Leah Song is a storyteller, song catcher and poet, and the founding frontwoman of the internationally touring folk band Rising Appalachia. Raised in Atlanta, she is also passionate about somatic healing and brings her voice, movement and ritual song to groups around the world.
