In this exhibition, Donna uses mixed media to offer a twist on traditional landscape painting that sits somewhere between representational and abstract. The idea of mapping the landscape is a metaphor of finding parts of ourselves, through being in relationship with the natural world, time and space. We understand the world around us through information we collect via our senses.
Through inquiring into our experience of relating to the natural world, we can come to know more about what is important to us. Donna is drawn to texture and a variety of materials to capture the sensory experience of being human.
