Map360 CTS 2025 – Certified Train the Trainer
This Eventbrite listing provides information for forensic professionals interested in applying to attend the Leica Geosystems / Map360 2025 Certified Train the Trainer Course, to be held in Tucson, Arizona, on September 16th, 17th, and 18th, 2025 (Tuesday–Thursday).
Certified Map360 Trainers are authorized to deliver official Leica Geosystems training certificates to internal agency personnel and state-level users of Map360.
Course Fee
The registration fee is $1,000 USD and must be paid via a purchase order to Leica Geosystems after your application has been approved.
Eligibility Requirements
This is an advanced-level course and is not suitable for beginners. Applicants will be approved based on their experience and demonstrated skills in using Map360 forensic CAD software.
A skills assessment and review of pre-course training materials are required for acceptance. The course will focus on working with point cloud data from reality capture sensors such as the RTC360 and BLK360 scanners. Additional topics include GNSS and total station data, as well as integrating data from multiple sensors and online mapping sources.

To apply, register via Eventbrite. Registration does not guarantee acceptance, but it reserves your place in the order applications are received. Registraion is not a commitment to attend until the purchase order has been processed. This course is expected to reach capacity.

Class Schedule:
Tuesday, September 16 – Pre-Test & Review of Training Materials (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Wednesday, September 17 – Instructor Content Delivery (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Thursday, September 18 – Practical & Written Examination (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
(Note: No early departures. Training ends at 5:00 PM.)
Travel: Friday, September 19 – Departure
Skill Evaluation and Expectations
Applicants should be proficient in:
- Map360 workflows
- Program operations and navigation
- Line work and data layering
While mastery of all workflows is not required, specialization in one or more forensic workflows (e.g., traffic collision reconstruction, trajectory analysis, or bloodstain pattern analysis) is preferred.
Approval Process
- Register on Eventbrite to initiate the application process.
- Each applicant will be requested by email to submit a CV/resume, including:
A summary of Map360 training (in-person and virtual)
Forensic mapping experience and casework examples
Prior CAD software training (as an instructor or student)
Any additional relevant certifications or training
3. If approved, you will receive an invoice for $1,000 USD plus applicable taxes.
Note: Agencies sending multiple attendees should consolidate them into a single purchase order if possible.
4. All approved attendees must submit proof of completion of the CTS online Map360 training course.
Once the purchase order is submitted, students will be enrolled in the CTS 2025 Online Pre-Course. The pre-test will be based on these materials.
Hotel Accommodations
Hilton, Marriott, and other hotels located in downtown Tucson near the Hexagon Mining Office typically offer government rates that are lower than what we can secure with a group block.
Meals
Students are responsible for their own meals. Light snacks, beverages, and coffee will be provided.
Transportation
- If flying into Tucson: A rental car is not required.
- If flying into Phoenix: A rental car is required for the drive to Tucson.
- Downtown hotels are within walking distance of both restaurants and the training venue at the Hexagon office.
