Overview of the company
Cork College of FET, Life Sciences Centre is a centre of excellence for the reskilling and upskilling needs of the Life Sciences Sector in Cork. Opening in 2006, since then has re-skilled over 1,000 learners as operators for Cork’s booming Life Sciences sector. The centre works closely with our industry partners to ensure course content is reflective of current industry standards and practice. It is located in Carrigaline, a short distance from the pharmaceutical hub of Cork Harbour .
What you will do on the manufacturing day :
Our Manufacturing Day begins with an overview of Ireland's life sciences industry, with a focus on Cork.
Enjoy a guided tour of our state-of-the-art training facilities and hands-on experience with equipment used in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, and medical device industries.
Learn about bioreactors, autoclaves, gloveboxes, purified water skids, and work in a simulated cleanroom environment.
There will be light refreshments and Q&A opportunity at the end of the session .
