From the highlands of the Colombian Andes to the vibrant energy of the jazz club, the Manuela Sánchez-Goubert Ensemble brings a singular voice to Boston's music scene.
A Berklee Global Jazz Institute graduate and Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation Ambassador, Sánchez-Goubert draws on the rich rhythmic traditions of South American folk music, seamlessly weaving them into the language of contemporary jazz.
Singing in Spanish and Portuguese, she leads her ensemble with bold imagination and boundary defying originality, creating music that feels at once rooted and exploratory.
Roxbury Concert Series events are free and open to all.
Presented by Roxbury Concert Series in partnership with Vivo Performing Arts.
