Please arrive by 3:30pm to be present for the ribbon cutting on the first of a two-phase project to renovate and expand Manifest's beloved historic facility, including most notably the completed Manifest Printmaking Wing featuring the only publicly accessible stone lithography facility in the region outside of an academic institution. See what else Phase One accomplished, learn about the crucial Phase Two, and be a part of the community that is launching the Manifest Center for the Visual Arts!

*At approximately 3:45pm the program will kick off with brief comments, and then all attendees will be asked to participate in the cutting of ribbons.

Additional details and more will be shared by email with all who RSVP.

THE SPECIAL AFTERNOON

An Open House will follow the ceremony with the Center open until 5:30pm for refreshments and studio visits.

A display of photographs documenting Manifest’s 21 year history will be on view in the Gallery Hall.

Parking will be available on-site, thanks to the generous donors who supported Phase One renovations. Additional parking available on Clifton Hills Avenue, with primary overflow parking kindly offered by our neighbors at DePaul Cristo Rey High School.

(email [email protected] with questions).

____________________

Starting in mid-2022, Manifest’s Drawing Center settled into its new permanent Central Parkway location (M1) in Cincinnati, Ohio. All the 22-year-old nonprofit's studio programs, including many new ones, are now active daily and expanding! The Center’s role as an alternative for visual arts practice and study, and as a haven for those before, between, or after academic study, has been celebrated across the region for the past two decades, attracting participants of all ages and all walks of life from near and far. It complements Manifest's exhibition program at the gallery which was designed at its founding with equity as a core tenant. Both programs reach an incredibly wide diversity of participants, naturally, organically, and in sync with Manifest's mission to support visual literacy, critical thinking, and skill development while promoting the importance of excellence in visual arts.

Current programs include the Center's flagship weekly Open, non-instructed offerings such as Open Figure Drawing five days a week; Open Darkroom for six sessions across five days a week; and free STUDY HALL (Open Creative Research Studio) times, all serving the creative public, students of art and design, and working artists from the wider Greater Cincinnati region and beyond.

Professionally instructed programs include the ongoing classes: Abstract Drawing, Painting, The Figure Series (drawing classes focusing on the human form as subject), a new Art History series, and the popular Drawing as Mindfulness.

Special visiting artist workshops occur at intervals across the year, with an exciting roster planned across the next several months.

There is a reason why artists visiting from across the U.S. routinely tell us there is nothing quite like Manifest elsewhere. Come see why!

Now Manifest is half-way through the much anticipated next stage of its journey. We can't wait to share it with you!
