Explore the stunning diversity of native flora at Manea Park through a guided wildflower walk with the Leschenault Catchment Council, part of their Leschenault Estuary Connect Program. The walk will be led by Andrew Webb, Flora Conservation Officer from the WA Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions. Discover the unique beauty of Manea Park Reserve’s wildflowers and be inspired to plant native species in your garden to protect local biodiversity.
Tickets $5 adult, children under 18 are free. Limited places available.
Please let us know if you can no longer make it - refunds will be granted up to one day before the event.
The walk features a gentle 2.3 km loop around the reserve, showcasing a vibrant array of Western Australian wildflowers.
Your tour guides will point out stunning species such as donkey orchids, leaping spider orchids, curry flowers, buttercup bushes, salt and pepper bushes, native wisteria, sundews, kangaroo paws, jug orchids, and white spider orchids, among others.
Manea Park Reserve is a vital habitat for several threatened species, including the forest red-tailed black cockatoos, Carnaby's and Baudin's white-tailed black cockatoos, and the critically endangered western ringtail possum.
This event is supported by generous funding from Lotterywest, helping to build a better WA together and Water Corporation.
