About this Event
You are invited to a mandatory in-person presentation on the proposed updated Good Neighbor Policy on Tuesday, May 13 from 11:30am to 12:30pm at 101 Grove Street, Room 300. Please note that as 101 Grove Street is no longer open to the public, staff will be stationed in front of the building to assist with entry.
DPH Director Dan Tsai will lead the presentation and will be available to answer questions.
Background
A Good Neighbor Policy has been in place since 2024. This updated policy strengthens that framework by:
- Unifying expectations across all city department sites and contracts
- Establishing clearer expectations for providers around perimeter management, complaint response, documentation, and community engagement
- Defining potential consequences for non-compliance, up to and including contract action
What to expect
- May 13, 11:30am–12:30pm — In-person presentation and Q&A with Director Tsai at 101 Grove Street
- Following the meeting, a public comment period will open for the updated policy. Details on how to submit feedback will be shared at the meeting.
- Roll-out and trainings on the final policy
- July 1 — Updated policy goes into effect
Attendance is mandatory. Please ensure that a leadership representative from your organization is present.
We look forward to seeing you on May 13.
