About this Event
Welcome to Mandarin Corner: Journey to Shanxi (山西)!
Did you know that many scenes in Black Myth: Wukong were inspired by real locations in Shanxi? Famous for its ancient architecture, rich history, and colourful folk traditions, Shanxi is full of cultural treasures.
Join our City Series Mandarin Corner to explore the culture of Shanxi and discover Huamo — a traditional folk art of decorative steamed buns that symbolise happiness and good fortune.
During the event, with expert guidance, you’ll have the chance to use ultra-light clay to create your own Shanxi-style Huamo artwork—all while practising Mandarin in a fun, relaxed, and welcoming atmosphere.
Refreshments will be provided.
Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
This event is organised by NCI in partnership with CSSA.
We look forward to seeing you there!
