Manchester Racial Equity Conference

Since 2020 and the horrendous M**der of George Floyd, racial equity has come a focal part of everyday society. The youth sector has a rich history of ensuring youth workers and young people advocate and champion for equity and this is the next opportunity to continue those important conversations!

Manchester City Council along with partners UK Youth, the National Youth Agency, TRIUMPH, 7PK and Youth Focus NW are holding a one day conference exploring how the youth sector can become more equitable when thinking about race and identity.

On the day you’ll hear from a range of speakers, discuss issues related to racial equity through a series of workshops and have an opportunity to connect with like minded colleagues enabling networks to be formed and for the discussions to continue beyond the day. Tickets for the event are free however we would request that you only book if you can absolutely attend as we envision demand for this event being high! If you can’t make the event please let us know so we can release your ticket. Ticketing information will be used to ensure enough catering is provided.
