We are excited to invite you to participate in the QAC Manawa Matariki Community Woodfiring 2025! This
annual event, under the Matariki stars, is an incredible opportunity to be part of our community’s wood-firing
tradition, which spans three weeks—from delivery to unloading.
This facebook event marks the 36 hour firing of Manawa. To participate in this firing registration BEFORE JUNE 10TH is essential.
Works to be fired must be dropped off: Monday 9th & Tuesday 10th June | 1pm - 7pm
(If you cannot attend these delivery dates, please contact us to arrange a suitable time.)
Key dates:
Loading of Manawa: WED 11th – WED 18th JUNE
● Firing of Manawa: SAT 21st – SUN 22nd JUNE | 36-hour firing
● Unloading of Manawa: SAT 28th JUNE | 12pm
We welcome those who wish to view the Manawa firing and acknowledge Matariki under the fiery kiln!
