Manatee Farm City Week Beef Workshop and Prospect Show

The event will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Participant check-in and weigh-in will be held from 7:00am – 8:00am with the workshop beginning promptly at 8:30am. This year we are highlighting Beef Cattle Health . All participants will learn about all things related to animal health and how to keep their beef animals healthy and honing your showmanship skills.

Following the workshop, lunch will be provided for the participants.

After participants have enjoyed lunch and have their animals prepared we will move into the prospect show for youth participating in the morning workshop. The show will begin promptly at 12:00pm starting with Showmanship, followed by heifers and ending with steers. Traditionally the day concludes about 5:00pm depending on the number of participants and the pace of the show.

We encourage all Manatee County beef exhibitors, and other Manatee County youth interested in learning more about beef cattle, to attend this event. Youth who only participate in the workshop may do so free of charge. However, we ask that all participants register so we have an accurate lunch count. Registration fees for youth exhibitors are $25 per animal entry.
