Managing Biological Complications around Dental Implants

Hosted by Pratik Patel (Principal dentist at Swindon Dental & Implant Clinic), the events are free to attend and offer verifiable CPD. To provide dentists and hygiene/therapists with practical, evidence-based strategies for the effective management of biological complications around dental implants.

By the end of the session, participants should be able to:

• Describe preventive measures and maintenance protocols to reduce the risk of biological complications.
• Implement non-surgical management techniques for peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis.
• Identify and modify patient- and prosthesis-related risk factors that influence the management of peri-implant diseases.
• Recognise when referral or surgical intervention may be required for successful outcomes.
