About this Event

This training is delivered by Jemma Swann, Local Authority Designated Officer for Southampton. Aimed at Southampton workers, particularly those working with children or managing those who do, this training will enable you to find out more about the LADO role and how to deal with specific situations where an allegation is made against an adult (employed or volunteer) regarding their behaviour towards a child.

By the end of the training you will:

  • Know what to do if there is an allegation made against a member of staff or volunteer
  • Know what to expect throughout the allegation process
  • Understand how to support the person of concern
  • Understand how to support the child and parents involve and understand outcomes and how to manage them including exit arrangements (if appropriate)

There is no charge for attending this event but we ask that you complete an evaluation to help us continue to improve the training we offer.

This training will be delivered in person at Southampton Civic centre, room TBC.
