Man V Fire

Man v Fire is always a highlight of the year and for 2024 we are coming full circle, back to the original format.

We're back in a garden with a few firepits and food cooked over hot coals as the focal point of an evening out with the men but this year the theme is A Traditional South African Braai (BBQ).

What does that mean? Well think about the cooking fires and the cooking being the focal point of the evening, rather than being tucked away from the guests. Think about lighting hardwood logs and watching them burn down to perfect coals to cook on. There will be 3 different meats, a selection of traditional South African salads and bread rolls baked over the coals of the fire. Dessert will be Koeksisters (a syrup soaked deep fried donut) and marshmallows for the firepit. We will provide Vegetarian and Gluten Free options so please make sure you give us your dietary requirements.

The event will start at 6pm and we will aim to be eating around 7pm but South African Braais are pretty informal.

So there it is, all laid out for you. All that we would ask of you is that you come along, maybe bring a friend or two, bring your own bottles and a camping chair and have a brilliant time!
So, how much does it cost, you ask? £11.60 per head. I know right?! That is a great deal.

The deadline for signups is Monday 16th September so that we can get the food order right so please don't forget to sign up by then!!

We put this event on because we love our men and we want them to grow in relationship with each other and with God. We firmly believe that these types of events are a part of building the trust and camaraderie needed to make that happen.

Please note that this event is open to men over the age of 18. When you buy your ticket for Man v Fire we will send you further emails to inform you of any last minute changes - usually weather related! By registering your attendance you give us permission to do this but don't worry we will not sell your data to anyone and we won't be emailing you every other day.
