Join us for the exclusive Scottish playback of Mama Terra’s new album Inner Space, the day before its official launch on Acid Jazz.
Hosted by the band’s founder, Glaswegian pianist and composer Marco Cafolla, this special evening offers an intimate first listen to the highly anticipated follow-up to their acclaimed debut.
Mama Terra — the project of Marco Cafolla alongside co-bandleader and saxophonist Konrad Wiszniewski, upright bassist Ross Saunders, drummer Doug Hough, trombonist Mikey Owers, and vocalist Rachel Lightbody — has built a reputation over the past three years for their powerful live performances and distinctive sound.
Inner Space builds on that foundation with nine expansive tracks that explore the reality and potential of the human condition. The album introduces new instrumentation to the band’s sonic palette and features the iconic narration of Conrad Roberts (known for his legendary 1971 collaboration with Miles Davis).
Recorded between Glasgow, Los Angeles, and Brooklyn, the album was produced by Marco Cafolla with Grammy-nominated co-producer and engineer Joel Hamilton, and mastered by Grammy winner Dave Collins.
Tickets are completely free, but spaces are strictly limited.
