Mama Said String Band has been making an impact on the Bluegrass Scene & beyond since their debut in 2016. Based out of Louisville Kentucky, Mama Said String Band is a four-piece collection of songwriters & players, David O’Neal, Katie “Didit” Caudill, Kaitlen Farmer, and Kris Potts. Each member brings a unique perspective with backgrounds spanning multiple cultures, genres, and styles. Together they draw influences from Bluegrass, Folk and Americana while focusing on vocal harmonies and contemporary instrumentation to build an eclectic, eurythmic melody and tactfully delivered message.Bridge 19 offers a sound pallet of moody electric guitars, horns, accordion, & pedal steel - with rythmic stylings of Nola jazz meets americana. Vocal harmony is the corner stone, and makes Bridge 19 unique and transfixing. Bridge 19 somehow closes the gap between americana, singer/songwriter, vintage soul, folk, & pop - truly one of the few bands that you can both dance and cry to.
Presented by New Albany's Jeff Gahan, each show is held on Friday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in historic downtown New Albany’s Bicentennial Park, located at the corner of Spring Street and Pearl Street. These events are free and open to music lovers of all ages!
