🏈 Mama Got Game Tailgate 🏈
Because moms don’t just watch the game—we bring the party, the snacks, the laughs, and the hustle.
Join us before the Loras vs. UD football game for a family-friendly tailgate!
Every year, Loras and UD play in “The Key City Clash,” the winner gets to possess and display a six-foot wooden key, painted with both schools’ colors, at their institution for the following year.
The rivalry between Loras and UD dates back to 1900, but the football rivalry intensified when Loras reinstated football in 1980.
Here’s our little competitive back story:
🏈Katrina graduated UD Loras with a major in Athletic Training in 2014 + her hubby played football 2010-2014
🏈Mackenzie graduated from UD with a major in Sports Management & Marketing and Business Administration in 2019 + her hubby played football 2015-2019
🏈Riley was an adjunct professor for Loras on Intro to Psych in 2019 and Abnormal Psych in 2020 + to this day, often works with their internship programs
So here’s the thing… this tailgate is FREE!
You absolutely do NOT need to be an alum of either college, this is a fun chance for the WHOLE FAMILY to get out & connect at a sporting event! *Cost of game entry is separate and noted at the bottom*
OPTIONAL: We’re putting our competitive back story to good use!
This isn’t just a tailgate, it’s an optional tailgate… a showdown with heart. Two teams, one fun rivalry, and one epic victorious winner moment. Here’s how it works:
💵 $1 = 1 vote for your favorite team (the RDC board member you want to win the bragging rights, NOT a bet for who will win).
📸 The team with the fewest votes has to wear the other team’s gear for a public photo op— if you are a Loras or UD alum, you KNOW how hard this would be
Why we’re doing it:
This is about more than football—it’s about rallying our community of moms to show up for something bigger. 100% of proceeds will go toward Raising Dubuque Co., helping us support and empower local moms, families, and businesses.
What specifically do funds go to? We’re glad you asked!
🏈Future events hosted by RDC for all Moms of Dubuque and surrounding areas (supplies, guest speakers, resources)
🏈Vouchers/giftcards to Mom-Owned Businesses for Moms in need of a little financial support
🏈Grants/scholarships to financially back Mom’s with game-changing business ideas
Extra fun:
🎯 We’ll have a few tailgate games to keep the competition going (off the field).
🥤 Home Team Chiropractic will be supplying the Poppi’s so you can sip something fun while you cheer, play, and connect.

Important to Note:
Alcohol is not allowed anywhere but the delegated beer tent area, please do not bring a cooler of beer to our tailgate.
Smoking is prohibited.
If you choose to attend the game, the cost is $8 for adults, $5 for college students/high school students and $3 for youth – this is paid directly to the gate staff and is completely unaffiliated with our organization.
