MaMa Does Dada: Absurdist Theatre

RAGE, RAGE – anti-bourgeois revolution – poetry – dance – BRUTALIST soundscapes – marionette theater – LOVE and HATE combine to protest and promote the entropy of the universe. Join absurdist historian Madeline Magnifico, known as MaMa (portrayed by Jerilyn Paige), for art history in the making. Offered as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival.

Witness an evening of experimental, improvisational, absurdist theater in the style of the Zurich Dada movement of the 1920’s. This near-forgotten and long-neglected art form is the perfect pairing with today’s disaffection, pent-up rage, protest energy, and existential angst. MaMa revives the chaos and beauty of Dada to enrage and soothe your soul.

DUE TO THE AVANT-GARDE AND EXPERIMENTAL NATURE OF THE THEPERFORMANCE, audience members will be required to complete and submit a participation WAIVER to be admitted to the theater.
