Mama & Baby Dance Class

Omaha moms, let’s get together for a Baby & Me Dance Class! (All Levels)
One of the greatest joys of motherhood is dancing with your baby - and everyone you love!
Whether you’re having a family jam in the kitchen or spinning around the dance floor with your partner at weddings, you’ll be able to apply the core teachings of this class to every joyful movement life brings you. 💞

Led by a dance instructor and a postpartum yoga teacher (who is also recently postpartum!) this class welcomes mamas who want to feel confident with the foundations of several dances and practice some simple, movement-based postpartum recovery yoga exercises to incorporate into musical play with baby. 💃🧘‍♀️
While our class is intended to support postpartum bodies - fathers, non-birthing partners, or other supporters in baby’s life are welcome to join the fun, either independently with baby or as a trio adventure! We ask that tickets are purchased for each adult, as we are limited on class size.
👶 If you have multiple little ones joining and will be alternating wearing them, please let us know so we can plan the studio arrangment accordingly.
For safety and consistency in how we teach, we request that mamas are 6+ weeks postpartum and babies are still small enough to be in front-body carriers. It’s recommended that your baby is familiar with carriers and can tolerate being worn for 30 minutes or longer. Music will be a fun tempo but not too loud. If your baby isn't used to music, introducing them to your favorite classics would help them prepare for the class!
⭐️ Class structure:
✨11:45 - Begin arrival at the studio. If you need to feed Baby beforehand, there are quiet spaces in the studio to do so.
✨12 - 12:15 - Welcome and Settling In Time (also flexibility to arrive a little late! Just message us if you’re running behind - we get it, lol)
✨12:15 - 12:45 - Warm up with standing yoga movements for strength, balance, and flexibility and to review dance basics.
✨12:45 - 1 pm - Short break - Give Baby a break/feed if needed. We’ll bring some blankets and a few pillows to sit on.
✨1 - 1:30 - Dance time! We’ll explore salsa & bachata movements with Baby!
✨1:30 - 2 pm - Closing time for community questions and taking care of anything Baby needs before you head back out.

👉🏽 What you'll need to bring:
✨ Baby carrier (front of body - either facing towards you or outwards)
✨ Your “go bag” for your baby (food, diapers, etc.)
✨ A play blanket and some toys for your baby, in case they don't want to be in the carrier the whole time (the studio floors are a thinly padded laminate “wood” and cleaned between each class)

💞 About your teachers:
💃 Nadria has been dancing her whole life, competing in ballroom dance during college, and now teaching private lessons to couples and at UNO for dance beginners. She specializes in ballroom dance, including Latin styles, waltz, foxtrot, and swing. She’s also very involved in the local dance communities, including Omaha Westies, the Nebraska salsa scene, and serving as a director on the Omaha Jitterbugs board.
🧘‍♀️ Elaina began her yoga teaching journey at Power Life and was inspired to become a perinatal (prenatal and postpartum) yoga teacher when she decided to formally train as a birth doula. She then became pregnant with her first baby in 2025, welcoming her little one in January 2026. She’s found incredible regulation and reconnection to her body through joyful movement and is beyond excited to share this unique blend of yoga and dance with Omaha mothers and babies!
