THE HONKABILLIES hit Malted Shake on Friday 2nd October. Signed to California based WILD RECORDS, you can feel the influences of artists such as Johnny Cash and Hank Williams as well as contemporaries such as BR5-49, Wayne Hancock or Dwight Yoakam running through every inch of their veins.
Their original material is deeply soaked in the spirit of early 1950’s rockabilly, country and roots music without compromising their own style and sound. Their creative journey has seen them travelling and playing in at Festivals and Honkytonks in Nashville, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and most European countries. An unforgettable recording session at SUN Studios in Memphis, Tennessee is to this day one of the highlights of their musical adventures. Fronted by Frankie, the bands unique sound is driven by Frankie Junior's thumping and sometimes haunting guitar licks corralled by the amazing Sam French on upright bass and Claire, the uncompromising keeper of the beat on drums.
