Guests enjoy a fun and informative educational food pairing and wine tasting at Paradise Cove Beach. Guests enjoy 2 hours on this unforgettable Malibu private beach that you've seen in countless movies and TV shows. Indulge in a premium wine tasting of at least 6 French and Napa California luxury wines (generally retailing from $18-$60/bottle) from a collection of 26 award-winning wineries. These rare, small production wines are expertly paired in advance by a private chef featured on the Rachael Ray show. Guests should expect food pairings the equivalent of heavy appetizers. For example, fried or baked chicken, an assortment of gourmet cheeses, crackers, fresh fruit, and chocolate (based on seasonality and wines poured). We finish each wine tasting with Tiffany's world-famous sangria or rum punch. Organic, biodynamic, and vegan wines may be available with advance notice. Vegan and vegetarian food and cheeses are also available with proper advance notice. This is a fun, guided educational wine tasting where guests will learn time-tested wine-tasting techniques, etiquette, and history while enjoying stunning California coastlines.

No prior wine experience is needed, and this event is entertaining and enjoyable for experienced lovers! While wine tasters must be 21 with ID, non-drinkers, dogs, and guests of all ages are welcome! (Mocktails are available with advance notice)

Fall /Winter Weather: Since the event is outside on the beach, PLEASE dress for cool/cold/windy weather. California is mild (60's-70's) in the Fall and Winter, but it can get chilly/breezy. Please check the weather reports for the day you plan to attend. Multiple clothing layers are recommended so you can adjust accordingly. We will always try to utilize the picnic tables if they are available because the sand can get affected by high tides. But we may be on the sand on blankets. The event is held rain or shine. No refunds due to inclement weather. Good food and wine will make us all feel like the weather is great!

What should guests do before they arrive? Please email or call the host once you book and give her your cell phone #, so you can easily communicate prior to the event. [email protected] or call toll-free in the US 866-219-8558. It’s IMPERATIVE for you to contact us AS SOON AS you book, so we can exchange cell phone information to communicate the day of the event.

ALSO: We are meeting on a private beach, not inside the Paradise Cove restaurant. This event is not affiliated with the restaurant, so if you ask any of the 100+ restaurant workers where the wine tasting is, chances are they will have no idea what you were talking about. This is why we need to exchange cell #'s in advance.

Please arrive early or on time. There are no refunds for guests that arrive late or no-shows. We have planned extensively for your arrival and have lots of expenses related to wine, food, salads, cheeses, fruit, chocolate, etc. that was purchased for you. Those items can't be returned to the store or restaurant if you don't show up.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Guests of any age are welcome to attend the event, however, guests must be 21 years of age or older with ID to drink alcohol. Children under the age of 1 are complimentary (just let the organizer know 24 hours in advance).

What about non-wine drinkers?

This food pairing beach experience is also fun for non-wine drinkers because if you let the organizer know, ideally 24 hours in advance, then they can mix up some fresh and fruity non-alcoholic mocktails/drinks for guests of all ages.

Driving vs Rideshare: It's taking a lot longer post Covid to find a Uber or Lyft, so plan accordingly. Also, LA traffic can be busy on the weekends, so please put the address in your GPS at least 1 day before so you can arrive on time. You can arrive early or stay late and hang on the beach as needed.

Parking: You may want to Uber or park outside of the private gated parking lot is recommended if you don't want to pay up to $50 for parking!! It's a pleasant downhill walk from PCH. Consider dropping off your date at the gate and then parking the car.

Meeting: We usually meet somewhere near the base of the private pier. However, SINCE you will have followed the instructions above, we've exchanged cell numbers in advance, so you can call or text to see exactly where we are set up. While we will be on the private beach, the exact location may change based on # of guests, high tides, other beach-goers, etc. Look for a wine bucket, wine glasses, food being set up, etc. We will be unloading and setting up the food and wine prior to the event, so we may not have a free hand to pick up right away. Just shoot a text and we'll respond for sure before the event starts.

Winetasters must be 21+ with ID. Our events are family and dog friendly. So none of the minors in these pictures actually drank any wine. We made mocktails for them.
