Male Tears is a synthpop band from Los Angeles, founded by vocalist James Edward in late 2019. What began as Edward’s personal artistic outlet has since evolved into a full band project.
Blending synthpop, darkwave, italo disco, EBM and futurepop 🖤🎹 into a sound they define as “Dark Rave”, Male Tears fuse irony, camp aesthetics and 80s new wave influences to create weirdo-pop that both celebrates and critiques underground music culture.
The band are currently preparing their new studio album 💿 (scheduled for release in 2026 on Artoffact Records), with the first single arriving in early 2026.
Expect fan favourites such as “Hit Me” and “Belladonna”, alongside brand-new material 🔥
