Male Mental Illness in Contemporary Literature

The last decade has seen a rise in charity awareness campaigns around men's mental health, and for good reason. But how is it portrayed in fiction?

This talk and workshop from Dr Christina Wilkins from the University of Birmingham Film and Creative Department introduces some of the key ways men have been represented in contemporary literary fiction and offers a chance for attendees to reflect on their own experiences and reading.
