Catalyse Learning Network | An impactful first step: Why male allyship work is important for men in the workplace | What steps can be taken?
About this Event

Male Allies for Change is a two-part program exploring the case for male allyship; the core ideas every male ally must know, and how male leaders can take effective action towards conscious inclusion for all. Part one is an introductory in-person workshop while part two includes two online deep dives into focussed topics with guest speakers.

Part 1: 19 September 2024, 6:30pm - 8:30pm (in-person), SGD 70

Part 2: 3 October 2024 and 4 November 2024, 6:30pm - 8:00pm (online), SGD 70

Part 1 Workshop

This is an open invitation for part one of our program; the introductory workshop. To create a space conducive to personal sharing and learning, this is a closed door session for men only. Participants will be guided in understanding why this work is important for men in the workplace, developing strategies to manage gender bias, and strategies to become a more effective ally in supporting gender equity in the workplace.

Registration for the deep dive sessions will be available exclusively to workshop attendees. After completing Part 1 of the program, you will receive an invitation to join the Part 2 deep dive sessions. Participants who go on to attend the full program will be awarded a certificate of attendance of the Male Allies for Change program.

Our lead facilitator, Herk Ng, recently named a “LinkedIn Top Voice in Social Impact,” will be guiding these sessions. Herk is a seasoned consultant, coach, and ACLP-certified adult educator with a passion for fostering healthy workplace cultures. Herk will be joined by Chie who developed our inaugural Male Allyship program in collaboration with Michael Kaufman, an internationally recognised expert on the work done by men in favour of equality.

Thanks to a grant from Capital International, participant fees for this program are offered at a discounted rate.
