Malai x Desi Bakes Book Signing & Pie Party

Join us Saturday, November 16 from 3pm - 5pm as we celebrate the launch of Desi Bakes, the exciting new cookbook by our dear friend of Milk & Cardamom, Hetal Vasavada. We'll be offering a limited edition collaboration Ice Cream Pie inspired by a recipe in the book as well as hosting a Q&A. Get ready for one sweet afternoon!

Malai has crafted a special ice cream pie inspired by a dessert in the cookbook: Tender Coconut Ice Cream Pie. This collab Ice Cream Pie features a buttery graham cracker crust filled with creamy tender coconut ice cream, pieces of young coconut, and a hint of cardamom. It’s all topped with a generous layer of shredded coconut flakes for a perfect treat.

We'll be selling pies & pie slices of the Malai x Desi Bakes Tender Coconut Ice Cream Pie as well as copies of Desi Bakes Cookbook for Hetal to sign!

Pooja, Malai Foundere, will host a Q&A with Hetal at 4pm: a conversation around the dessert-making process, coming up with ideas, and testing/developing new desserts and flavors. You won't want to miss it!

Come by to meet Hetal and try a slice, leave with a pie and a signed cookbook!

This event is open to the public and RSVP is appreciated– to help us know the number of guests to expect. Please note that cookbooks will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
