HotYoga4You is excited to offer a Mala making gathering on Saturday, December 10th from 4-6pm. What is a Mala? It's a necklace of 108 beads. The word "mala" comes from a Sanskrit word that means "garland", as in a garland of beads. Malas originated in Buddhist communities of the Himalayas, but their influence and usage spread to other countries and religions. A mala may be used in meditation practice to help direct focus and keep track of counting mantras. Malas can make a bold fashion statement as well. Come on out on the 10th to learn more about it and make a beautiful piece of art too! If you don't want 108 beaded necklace, you can make whatever beaded necklace you'd like. Alice will have sample necklaces and all the supplies needed to make them.Alice & Yolanda will be on hand to help. Refreshments & light bites will be offered, and it will be a fun relaxing gathering.
