Emerge California is the state's most effective political training program for women - we've trained more than 800 Democratic women to run for office with a nearly 70% success rate, including 207 CURRENT officeholders like Lt Gov Eleni Kounalakis and SF Mayor London Breed!

This celebration of our movement and the Emerge California Alums making history as elected leaders across the state will feature trailblazing Alums State Controller Malia Cohen, State Senator Aisha Wahab, Assemblymember Lori Wilson, and BART Board Director and candidate for U.S. Congress Lateefah Simon, and welcome our Interim Executive Director Libby Schaaf.

$250 ticket includes admission to Oakland Museum of California, parking in Museum Garage, catered reception, speaking program, optional private tour of exhibits by museum staff

Museum exhibits info: Celebrate California women who have made history! Angela Davis - Seize the Time and installations of work by Hung Liu and Dorothea Lange in the Gallery of California Art. Seize the Time examines the image, influence, and activism of the Oakland-based icon. Artist Hung Liu lived in Oakland and taught for more than two decades at Mills College. The current installation features works inspired by the major 20th century documentary photographer, Dorothea Lange. Lange masterworks are on view from the Lange archives of more than 25,000 negatives and 6,000 prints held by the Museum.
