Please consider joining us at an upcoming in-person training opportunity at CNRA Sacramento Headquarters titled, Making State Funding Accessible to All. BACKGROUND
This training is a key component of CNRA’s implementation strategy to ensure we meet the voter mandate that a minimum of 40 percent of Climate Bond funding benefit disadvantaged, severely disadvantaged and vulnerable communities. The sessions will focus on practical, relationship-based strategies for effective engagement, including best practices in empathic listening, understanding diverse community experiences, power dynamics and constructively navigating difficult conversations. Participants will take part in interactive small-group exercises, role-playing scenarios and facilitated discussions aimed at building concrete, actionable skills.
Departments are encouraged to prioritize attendance and support staff participation as part of our collective commitment to make state funding accessible for all.
TRAINING LEAD
The sessions will be led by engagement expert Sarah Rubin from the Department of Conservation along with DOC Engagement Analyst Jamie Fong.
