Each garlic mustard pull we’ve held so far this season has been threatened by rain, so participation has been relatively low. Let’s get caught up!
No treats or signage, just ask where we are at the welcome kiosk at the front gate. Details:
Let's spend time together in the beautiful woodlands surrounding one of our favorite places on Earth—Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden.
We work adjacent to Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden in Theodore Wirth Park. The Garden itself is maintained by dedicated Minneapolis Park Board staff and is in great shape! Our work helps protect their efforts.
Come lend a hand as we expand this protective zone, which has become a valuable natural area in its own right.
The work is somewhat like pulling dandelions, but easier. We use hand dandelion pullers (much like a screw driver) to loosen the soil to pull up the root. Then we bag them. That’s it! You can take some home and make pesto if you wish!
No need to register ahead of time. If you know you are coming, let us know, but come regardless!
No experience necessary. We provide tools, bags, training.
The Garden has a small lot. If it is full, go to the Wirth Beach parking lot on Glenwood and walk in.
There may be ticks and poison ivy in the area. Dress appropriately (long sleeves, pants, and closed-toe shoes) We supply gloves.

Please let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!
