Step into a playful world of tiny treasures, oddball inventions, sparkly objects, and joyful experimentation with guest artist Adam Zapotok, AKA Okiest Dokiest. Making Magic Knick Knacks invites participants to transform found materials, trinkets, hardware, charms, and unexpected supplies into miniature creations full of personality and wonder.

Part sculpture lab, part tinkering station, and part creative chaos corner, this activation encourages guests to follow curiosity wherever it leads... whether that means building pocket-sized creatures, decorative dashboard companions, bike adornments, mysterious objects, wearable weirdness, or tiny sculptural keepsakes.

Using an eclectic assortment of salvaged materials and creative odds-and-ends from The Shiny Shop supply universe, participants will explore playful assembly techniques while embracing imperfection, experimentation, and imagination.

No prior experience required! Just a willingness to play, invent, and make something delightfully strange. Guests are welcome to stop by casually throughout the day, with additional featured programming and guided creative support with Adam Zapotok taking place from 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM.

📍 Arrival Notes: Guests may enter through the front lobby doors and will find The Shiny Shop just inside the first door past the lobby. You’re also welcome to knock on our windows from the outside of the shop if you need help finding us — we’re happy to wave you in.
