Planning Your Physical Environment to Reduce Challenging Behaviors
(2 hours) The physical environment our children spend the majority of their day in can affect their behaviors in positive and negative ways. Together, we will evaluate three main elements of your current physical environment and plan for modifications to help reduce behaviors that challenge us. **To get the most out of this training, we highly recommend you come with images or a diagram of your environment.
Strengthen Your Emotional Well-Being: Self-Regulation Techniques to Navigate Difficult Situations
(1.5 hours) Prolonged exposure to environmental stress, such as challenging behaviors in the classroom, family crises, or community violence, can significantly overload the emotional well-being of early childhood educators and staff. This training aims to equip adults working directly with young children with emotional regulation strategies to nurture, navigate and overcome stress during and after difficult situations.
