Making and using T-Shirt yarn Workshop
About this Event
Join us for a relaxed, hands-on session where you’ll learn how to turn old T-shirts into sturdy yarn and use simple macramé techiniques to turn it into a chic plant hanger.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced crafter looking to pick up a new skill, this workshop welcomes everyone. We’ll guide you through each step, from cutting creating you're T-Shirt yarn to tying your very own hanging basket using basic macramé knots. It’s a satisfying, tactile project that gives a second life to clothes adding a touch of handmade charm to your home or office.
We provide all tools and materials, though you are welcome to bring a few clean, unwanted T-shirts (cotton blends work best!) if you prefer. Leave with your finished plant hanger and the skills to make more at home.
Spaces are FREE, though any donation to support New-U's charitable work is greatly appreciated. Suggested donation for workshop £5-10. Places are limited, so please book a space now if you would like to join us
Book now and join us Friday 2nd October at 2p, Honesty Library, Level 2 (top of the spiral stiarcase) in Castle Quater
