Making AI Work for Your Business: Practical Tools to Save Hours and Increase Profit
About this Event
Making AI Work for Your Business
A free in-person morning session for business owners in Southampton.
Most owners I meet have tried AI once, got something bland back, and quietly stopped bothering with it. That is the thing this morning fixes. I run VoiceDart, a Southampton company that builds bespoke AI voice agents and automations for UK businesses, and once a month I give some of what I have learned away in a room. This is the first one.
What you will take away
What AI actually is, in plain English, and why it behaves the way it does. Ten minutes. Everything after it makes more sense.
Why you keep getting waffle out of it, and the method that fixes that. The AI companies publish this themselves, in guides almost nobody has ever opened.
We build something together, live in the room. You take it home on one page. You will be using it that afternoon.
The bit people tend not to believe until they watch it happen, where a morning of admin does itself before the working day has even started. That is where the hours come back.
Your customers have started asking AI who they should call. Does it know your business exists? We find out live.
Two privacy settings hardly anyone knows are there, the ones keeping your business data out of the training machines. Thirty seconds each and they stay done.
And the moment where you say you had no idea that existed. Everybody gets one.
Who it is for
Business owners and the self employed who want to start using this properly rather than reading about it. If you keep seeing words like connectors and agents and just want someone to explain them, you are who this is for. You do not need to be technical. If you can send an email you have everything this morning needs.
Who is teaching it
I am Noor Khizer, founder of VoiceDart. We build and run bespoke AI voice agents and automations that are live with real businesses right now, handling real enquiries every day.
This is my first public workshop, which is exactly why it costs nothing. You get a useful morning out of it and I get a room to teach in, which makes me better at teaching. Sounds like a fair trade? You can find more about me here -www.voicedart.uk/noorkhizer
Already know the basics? Come and find me at the break. I have more advanced material and I am happy to share it.
The details
Wednesday 16 September, 10:30am to 12pm.
The White Building, 1-4 Cumberland Place, Southampton, SO15 2NP.
Bring a laptop if you can, a phone works. Your hands are on it for most of the ninety minutes.
Seats are limited. If it turns out you cannot make it, free your seat up so somebody on the waitlist can have it.
The prize draw
One business leaves with a full month of a paid AI subscription. Registering is the first step and the rest comes with your confirmation. I draw it live at the end, so you do need to be in the room.
Questions you might have
Will there be a sales pitch?
No. It is teaching from start to finish. I run VoiceDart and I will happily talk about it if you ask me afterwards, but nothing in the morning is a sell.
Is it really free?
Completely. It is my first public workshop, so the deal is simple. You get a useful morning and I get a room to teach in.
Do I need to be technical?
Not at all. If you can send an email you have everything this morning needs.
What should I bring?
A laptop if you can, so you can build along with me. A phone works fine too. Whatever we build gets sent over to you on one page afterwards.
Where do I park?
Grosvenor Square multi storey is on the same junction as the venue, two minutes on foot. Two hours is about £2.90. The barrier is 1.9 metres though, so if you drive a van park on the street and give yourself an extra ten minutes.
How do I get there without a car?
Southampton Central is a five minute walk. Come out of the main entrance, head towards Watts Park, and The White Building looks over the park on Cumberland Place.
What happens after I register?
Your confirmation lands straight away. Closer to the day you will hear from me to confirm your seat and pick up the practical details, so it does not sneak up on you.
Can I bring a colleague or business partner?
Yes, gladly. Seats are individual though, so you each need to register while there is still space.
What if I cannot make it after all?
Tell me, or free your seat from your Eventbrite confirmation so somebody on the waitlist can take it. Seats are genuinely limited and an empty chair helps nobody.
I have access needs, will I be alright?
Tell me when you register, or reply to your confirmation, and I will have it sorted before you arrive.
What is the prize?
A full month of a paid AI subscription for one business. Signing up is the first step. There is one more, it takes about a minute, and everything you need comes with your confirmation. I draw it live at the end of the session and you do need to be in the room.
