In this multi-session class you will make your own simple side table, starting from an example and learning the steps needed for any carpentry project.
The class will meet from 6-8:30pm on Wednesday nights for 4 sessions (10/16, 10/23, 10/30, & 11/6).
In the first meeting you will measure the sample table, make a cut list, and make a plan of construction steps in correct order. In the following meetings you will make the rough cuts, do planing and glue up as needed, then make final cuts, do preliminary surface preparation, cut joints, do edge treatment and assemble the table.
You can then take your table home to do any final sanding (there shouldn't be much) and apply whatever finish you'd like. We will be working in Red Oak which will be provided and is covered in the cost of the class.
