In this outdoor activity you will learn how to use wild willow and osier dogwood to make a decorative yet functional garden structure. It takes all day to learn basketry techniques to create the garden cloche, which can be taken home to protect plants. These charming rustic structures provide plants a little protection from the wind or animals, and they can be used to protect young seedlings as they grow. Join us for this beginners’ basketry workshop at Plant Craft Cottage nestled in the RBGV Melbourne Gardens. All materials will be provided. Please bring warm clothes, secateurs and lunch. No experience needed. Suitable for both adults and teenagers.
