Making a Chest Binder x Sharpsburg

In the first workshop, participants will learn to collect measurements needed to create a chest binder, then use those measurements to draft a custom binder pattern. Participants will also review suggested fabrics/notions and construction techniques. In the second workshop, participants will cut their fabric and sew the garment to a point where it can be tested for fit. Experienced sewists may begin finishing their binder, while newer sewists will be introduced to and practice finish techniques, leaving with a binder ready to finish at home. All participants should be familiar and comfortable operating a sewing machine.

Materials will be provided. Sewing machines will not be required for the first workshop. A limited number of sewing machines will be available for the second workshop. Bring your own if you know it works!
